There are many fantastic wineries to visit in the Napa Valley. Some of our favorite wineries are Schramsberg (for bubbles), Chateau Montelana, Tamber Bey, Bennet Lane, Brian Arden, Rivers-Marie, Frank Family Vineyards, Tank Garage Winery and Larkmead Vineyards, to name a few. Be sure to make advance reservations for wine tasting.
Come to Solage to detox, retox, and repeat. At the center of it all is our award-winning 20,000 square foot Spa Solage, which showcases the renowned Calistoga mud and mineral water therapies that have attracted spa-goers to this northern stretch of Napa Valley since the 19th century. The Bathhouse, our spa’s very heart, delivers the ultimate wellness experience, featuring exclusive geothermal pools with temperatures that range from icy cold, to a comforting 98°, and a soothing 103°.
From mud baths and mineral waters to traditional facials and soothing massage, Indian Spring's restorative spa treatments are world-renowned.
Should you have a few hours to spare, the historic Oat Hill Mine Trail was built in 1873 to create a route from Calistoga to the cinnabar mines, the ore of which produced quicksilver (mercury). The 17-mile-long (round-trip) trail follows the original route to Aetna Springs Road in Pope Valley. It can be rocky and challenging but is an exceptional experience for avid hikers, mountain bicyclists, and horseback riders and the southwest-facing views from the palisades are magnificent.
Rent a bike from the Calistoga Bikeshop and cycle the Vine Trail!
